INVITATION FOR BIDDERS-Pavement Rehabilitation - Nightingale

Sealed bids shall be received for the above named project by June 15th, 2017 at 10:00 am.
Sealed bid shall be delivered to City of Keystone Heights City Hall located at 555 S. Lawrence
Blvd, Keystone Heights, FL 32656. Upon closing of the bid period, all bids shall be opened and
reviewed for completeness.
Project Description
This project provides for rehabilitative efforts on Nightingale Street within the city limits as listed
in the bid form and plans. Major work items include the milling of approximately 5200 SY of
asphalt and the placement of approximately 675 TN of new asphalt and Type “F” curb and
gutter, Drop curb and Header curb along Nightingale per plans provided. Construct 12 standard
and 1 ADA compliant parking spaces at City athletic facility on Lakeview Drive, New
construction consist of full asphalt pavement and thickened edge sidewalk. Additional items
include Maintenance of Traffic, roadway markings and signage.
There will be a Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference held in the Conference Room at the Keystone
Heights City Hall on June 9th, 2017 at 10:00 am
A Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid will be required to accompany
bids. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in bidding.
Participation in the Disadvantage Business Enterprises Program (DBE) is not required.
This project will be bid as a single contract. Bid prices may be held for up to 90 days. All bids
must be submitted in accordance with Project Documents.
Contractor Selection will not be solely based on lowest bid. Lowest bidder will receive a first
priority selection rating. Other factors determining the final selection will be based on previous
work history with the City of Keystone and performance of said work history.
